Illinois Central College (ICC), in cooperation with local high schools, offers high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to learn about careers in Health Care and qualify to take the State Exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
This is a great opportunity to earn a college certificate while still in high school. Work-based learning, dual credit classes meet from 7am to 10am Monday through Friday in Peoria, Pekin, or Eureka. If selected to participated, all students will be required to provide their own transportation. Students will exit this program with eligibility to sit for the Nursing Assistant State Exam, CPR Certification, and 7.5 college credits. Any student interested in a career in health care is encouraged to apply. Applications are available with your guidance counselor. Deadline for applications is January 31, 2019. Once applications are screened, students may be scheduled for an interview. Selection for this program is based on availability and high school attendance record.
